There’s something special about a cruise that strings together sun-drenched coastlines, historic ports, and a touch of island glamour and that’s exactly what we’re counting down to aboard the Norwegian Dawn.

Setting sail from Lisbon, this itinerary feels like a slow unraveling of the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, blending culture, coastline, and just the right amount of indulgence.

Our first stop, Portimão, promises dramatic cliffs, golden beaches, and that laid-back Algarve vibe. From there, we head to Cádiz one of Europe’s oldest cities where narrow streets, sea views, and centuries of history collide in the best way.

Next comes Motril, our gateway to Andalusia’s rich culture (and possibly a detour to the iconic Alhambra if time allows). Then it’s on to Gibraltar, where the famous Rock of Gibraltar and its resident monkeys are firmly on the must-see list.

After the mainland, the itinerary shifts into island mode. Ibiza brings a mix of chilled beach clubs and buzzing energy, while Palma offers stunning architecture, including the breathtaking Palma Cathedral overlooking the sea.

Finally, we arrive in Barcelona a city that needs no introduction, with its bold architecture, vibrant streets, and unmistakable Mediterranean spirit.

What makes this journey even better is experiencing it all from the comfort of the Norwegian Dawn. Although there are no sea days between these ports we will still be taking time to unwind, soak in the views, and enjoy everything the ship has to offer striking that perfect balance between exploration and relaxation.
